McLaughlin, Sandra, Esq.

McLaughlin, Sandra, Esq.
McLaughlin & Morse, Marblehead
Biography:

Sandy McLaughlin has been sitting as an arbitrator and mediator since 2003 and has arbitrated and mediated hundreds of cases since then. Her reputation as an honest and capable litigator has helped her to become one of the most popular neutrals in the Boston area. Sandy’s easygoing manner helps put litigants at ease in arbitrations or mediations which can often be intimidating processes to parties unfamiliar with ADR. She brings a caring and professional analysis to each case, working to guide the parties to a satisfactory result.

Sandy is a trained mediator pursuant to M.G.L. 233 s. 23C and as a Rule 8 Certified Conciliator has provided pro bono conciliation services for the Massachusetts trial courts.

Sandy is the founding partner of McLaughlin & Morse which was established on the North Shore in 2009. In addition to providing alternative dispute resolution services, Sandy represents her clients in personal injury matters, real estate transactions, estate planning, and advises both profit and non-profit corporations. Prior to forming her own firm Sandy specialized in insurance defense litigation for fourteen years, working as a Senior Trial Attorney for OneBeacon Insurance. There she litigated hundreds of arbitrations and trials in the District, Superior, and Appellate Courts, with her cases focusing on auto torts, general liability, coverage disputes, toxic torts, and underinsured and uninsured claims. Sandy has also led seminars on liens and coverage and taught a paralegal course at Boston University.

In addition to her legal work Sandy volunteers for the Marblehead Festival of Arts where she served on its Board of Directors and for the Marblehead Arts Association.
